    A WORD FROM WILLIAM DURBIN

    Foxview Welcome Sign

"I am fascinated by the many ways in which writing can help people learn and grow. As a former teacher — I've taught every grade from fourth through college — I enjoy staying in touch with my audience, and I look forward to every one of my school events (I even like middle schoolers!). I admire the creative energy of young people, and I do my best to engage and inspire students, and to direct their creative energy toward becoming active readers and pursuing writing projects of their own. Like student athletes and musicians, student writers need to practice their craft outside the classroom."

Schools often earn enough money from a book sale/autograph session to pay for a good portion of my appearances.
